About us
The vaccinology
research group’s main theme is the study of innate immunity, focusing on the
recognition of pathogens by the host’s membrane and cytosolic receptors. Within
this scope, we study the role of BCG as an inducer of the trained innate immune
response and the mechanisms of heterologous protection of new vaccine
formulations against emerging infections and in cancer immunotherapy.
