We seek a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join an innovative team focused on real-time wastewater surveillance and developing saRNA replicon vaccines to combat pandemic-potential respiratory viruses such as influenza. The project involves detecting viral RNA at strategic points in São Paulo’s metropolitan area to predict and mitigate outbreaks and rapidly adapt vaccines based on this data.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Virology, Immunology, or related fields, with solid experience in vaccine development, handling mice for intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, and sample collection from serum and tissue. Additional skills include in vitro restimulation techniques, multiparametric flow cytometry, ELISA, microneutralization assays, and viral challenges such as CPE, TCID50, and LD50. Experience in R&D, Innovation, and collaboration with industry is highly desirable.

This position is open to Brazilian and international candidates. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship with a monthly stipend of R$12,000.00 and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual fellowship amount to cover unforeseen expenses related to the research activity.
